We recommend the re-election of Chuck Keiper on Nov. 7.
Keiper, 45, of Sugar Bush Knolls, was appointed commissioner in 1993. He has a strong background in social service and planning agencies and has pushed the county to adopt modern operational and personnel practices. He was an early proponent of regionalism through involvement with the Northeast Ohio Trade & Economic Development Consortium. His experience and approach continue to pay off for the county. Keiper recently took a leading role in negotiating an agreement for Cleveland to supply water to the growing Aurora/Streetsboro area. A new water plant would have cost the county millions...
